Commercial Buildings

Commercial buildings are full of mechanical systems that rely on water, such as heating and chilled systems, cooling towers, condensers, heat exchange systems, and more. We specialize in non-chemical treatment options for these systems.

Protecting all mechanical systems and cooling towers.

Self-cleaning strainers installed at the point-of-entry to the building, on the cooling tower loop or on a designated make-up line remove all of the physical dirt and turbidity that comes in through the water main. This protects every single mechanical component ultimately connected to the water system - pumps, seals, valves, boilers, heat exchangers, washers, flushometers, PRVs, filters, medical device reprocessing, etc. Due to the high investment in mechanical infrastructure in a commercial building, the return on investment on these systems is often under a year. There are thousands of these systems operating in North America today.

Next generation sidestream Filters for closed-loop.

Still throwing away money and dirty sidestream filters? The next generation of sidestream filters are here, which are cleaned in place in less than one minute with no disassembly required. No replacement parts means no maintenance costs. Massive savings in time and parts compared to the traditional throw-away models.

Legionella protection in DHW.

Legionella is a growing concern in DHW systems, especially in hospitals, care homes, hotels, cruise ships, and under-occupied buildings. The good news is that Legionella protection is easier than ever before. Two common technologies to employ are:

Copper Silver Ionization by CSI Defender

Urspring Ultrafiltration by Seccua

Heating system sludge

Sludge protection in closed-loop systems

Closed-loop systems will see an increase of sludge in the system over time as the water circulates. As iron-based pipes slowly corrode, those contaminants get caught up in the loop and only get worse. This leads to the plugging of pipes and components and system failures, as well as leads to a sharp drop in heat-exchange efficiency, increasing your utility costs. Removing iron-based sludge and oxygen is easy by using these systems specifically engineerd for this purpose.

Sidestream systems (4-17 GPM)

Larger systems (52 - 572 GPM)

Eliminate scaling on boilers.

Even small levels of hardness and scaling-causing minerals in your water can have massive costs and downtime associated with it. As the small concentrations in the make-up water are magnified over time in a recirculating system, premature mechanical failure and a huge loss in heat exchange efficiency leads to expensive and unnecessary costs.
